Instead of receiving automobile or business allowances this year, department managers received a performance bonus either equal to or greater than those allowances, up to 15 percent of their base salary for top managers and up to 10 percent of base salary for assistant managers. Human Resources officials for the county did not release how much each employee received this year.
The following minimum bonuses are based on figures provided last year concerning automobile and business allowances.
County employees are entitled to participate in the 401(a) plan, unless otherwise prevented by law or contract; the county did not specify which, if any, employees did not participate.
Administrative leave of 48 hours per year cannot be carried over; the unused balance is cashed out at the end of the year.
Longevity pay is calculated on the following formula: 2.5 percent of base pay at 10 years; 5 percent at 15 years; 7.5 percent at 20 years; 10 percent at 25 years; 12.5 percent at 30 years; and 15 percent at 35 years. Longevity pay is based not only on time spent working for Solano County but also any prior city or county government job experience.
The county contributes $600 per month to a cafeteria plan for health insurance. There are two tiers of annual dental benefits: $379.68 and $882; the following packages are based on the higher figure.
