Building a better world – with youth, for youth

You don't have to be a youth to put youth first. In this section, we highlight some folks who do just that, putting their focus on making the world a better place for young people.

You'll meet an attorney who dedicates his free time to warning students about the dangers of addition. A Girl Scout leader who reaches out to girls who may never have even heard of the Girl Scouts. An uncle who spearheads events to raies money in the battle against some devasating diseases that have impacted his family.

The list goes on.

There are young people, too, who take it upon themselves to make the world a better place.

There's a 4-H member whose energy knows no bounds. There's the young president of Will C. Wood High School's Best Buddies program, and a young woman who created Happy Boxes, Inc., which helps young people develop creative ideas to better their communities.

And then there's the Park Day Dudes, a group of teens who plan fun in local parks for a group of younger kids. Who said community service can't be fun?
